Hi, I'm Morwenna,
I'm a mum of two, and I wrote these stories for children like mine, who struggle with peril, and become concerned about the characters.
Instead of getting rid of all jeopardy, I made a story where the narrator helps them through scary and tense moments. I do this by making a promise at the beginning that everything will end up OK and showing up as the narrator to remind them of this promise at the peak of intensity in my stories.
I also use humour to offset tense moments without removing peril entirely.
